Since I can post track workouts quickly, I’m blogging this before my super awesome, very excited news from last week. Hold on to your seats, just a few more hours (I hope, silly job) and all will be revealed…
I’ve really come to love Track Tuesdays- especially when the weather is perfectly fall! I’m not sure if it was the cooler temps or the email we all got last week saying there are only 100 days until the Houston Marathon, but there were some long lost runners out there this morning. It was fun to run my warm up with some friends I haven’t seen in a while and catch up a little.
1 mile w/u – 9:02 pace
Main Set:
3-5x 1000 @ T pace with 1 min recoveries – 4:28; 4:32; 4:33; 4:33; 4:34
4-8x 100 @ I pace- 27 sec; 28 sec; 26 sec; 26 sec
1 mile c/d- 8:00 pace
TOTALS: 6 miles/46:44/7:47 pace
The good news is that I’m getting more consistent in my paces. Those paces are also starting to feel just a little more comfortable. I know I still have work to do, but it feels good to start seeing some results! Hopefully this translates to a good race this weekend!
Happy Tuesday!
